Membership

Membership at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church is extended to those who are baptized, believe and confess the Christian Faith, and believe and confess the Lutheran Confessions. Membership makes a public confession at our altar, and as such membership at a Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod congregation, or a congregation of an LCMS partner Church body, is required before being admitted to the Sacrament of the Altar.

How Do I Become a Member?

• Non-Lutherans desiring to become a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church are invited to take a six-week New Members Class to learn more about Lutheran beliefs and teachings. We do not want new members to be uninformed, and this class ensures that you understand what we believe and why we believe it, before you are asked to confess that faith publicly in the confirmation rite. • Lutherans desiring to transfer membership from another LCMS or partner Church body congregation should speak with the pastor privately, or otherwise contact the office for more information.
